For our third blog entry we were asked to make a few more questions up about our topic. If you missed the last entry my overall topic was a Pastor.
1. For step 1 we were asked to write an inquiry question.
- Is the decline in good, biblically sound pastors due to the fact that they are not receiving the proper schooling and are not being taught true principles?
2. For step 2 we were asked to first think of more questions that may help answer our less broad topic and also think of a thesis for our topic.
- What is the suggested schooling for a Pastor? What does the Bible say about Pastors? What are some statistics of Pastors who drop out of ministry? What are some of the human thoughts on how a Pastor should behave?
- The decline of good pastors is due to the fact that Christians are watering down the Bible and starting to listen to it less and less. Also Pastor's are not receiving the education necessary to prepare them for ministry and are not being taught the ways a Pastor should act and behave.
3. For the third and Final step we were asked to tell any prior knowledge to the topic or assumptions that we may have.
- The prior knowledge that I have on this topic is that I am attending Lancaster Bible College currently studying to be a pastor. I want to learn myself reasons people drop out of ministry and ways that can prevent that. I also want to learn the proper standards a Pastor should live by and should follow. Recently however I have interviewed a pastor for my pastoral class and learned some of the struggle that he said affected him, some of which were conflict between believers and always the struggle of the sinful nature.
